The Evidence
Christianity is the ONLY faith that can and does prove itself with facts and evidence. In fact, quite easily so. Many of the proof points below alone are sufficient -- like the Shroud of Turin. But together, they form an unbreakable chain of truth pointing to our Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Below, please find some of the strongest points of evidence for God. He does not make Himself obvious, in order to preserve our freedom of will. But He absolutely makes Himself known and provable to those who look.

Before the universe there was no matter, no energy, no space, no time - nothing at all, yet from that nothing everything came. No amount of chemistry explains how something appears from absolute nothing; only a cause outside of it all can.

Entropy is all around us: matter decays, the universe expands and cools toward its death. Whatever has an end cannot have run forever - if it had a finish line, it had a start line, and a Beginner.

Nobody has ever brought a dead cell to life.
Even if by some miracle you assembled thousands of proteins into a working cell, you would still have a dead cell - no experiment has ever brought life to a dead cell, only put new genomes into cells already alive. Scientists have no credible explanation for how life itself began.

The story says simple life slowly became complex over eons, but the rocks say otherwise: at the very first layer holding animal life, the animals are already fully formed - shells, skeletons, working eyes. The climb from bacteria to beast is nowhere in the record.

It contains coded instructions, factories producing precisely specified components, power plants, transportation networks, waste disposal and repair systems. All operate in coordination, without which the cell cannot survive. We would never expect an entire functioning city to assemble itself without planning or direction. Why should we assume that of a living cell?

Living cells contain actual engines - and entire transportation systems that resemble miniature railroads.
ATP synthase operates as a rotary molecular motor. Other proteins literally walk along microscopic tracks, transporting cargo to where it is needed. These aren't just impressive individual machines: they are components of elaborate logistics networks, complete with motors, tracks, fuel and cargo recognition. We recognize such coordinated machinery as evidence of engineering everywhere else. Why make an exception for life?

Life's most fundamental systems depend on components that cannot perform their functions independently.
DNA carries instructions for building cellular machinery - yet cellular machinery is needed to read, maintain and reproduce DNA. Remove essential components, and the present system fails. The evolutionary challenge is not merely explaining how individual pieces could appear, but how an entire cooperating system could emerge through unguided steps, with workable functions along the way. A collection of parts is not a living organism. It takes an integrated, functioning whole.

The human eye combines multiple engineering marvels into a single working instrument.
Its lens focuses light, its retina converts photons into electrical signals, and its neural circuitry processes those signals to produce vision. Each component must work in precise coordination with the others. This is not merely a complicated organ: it is an integrated optical and information-processing system, one that human engineers can only approximate with elaborate cameras and electronics. If a camera points unmistakably to a designer, why should the vastly more sophisticated human eye point to blind chance?

Where Israel crossed and Egypt's army followed, the seabed holds coral-encrusted chariot parts and horse gear, and the shore where the people camped is wide enough to have held all of Israel. The Bible says God protected Israel with a pillar of fire before they crossed - and parts of the beach are still scorched into glass by extreme heat.

Mount Sinai is still scorched - blackened on the outside, untouched within.
The mountain where God came down in fire to give the commandments has a darkened, burnt peak. Split a stone from it and the inside is normal rock - the scorching is only on the surface, exactly as intense heat from above would leave it.

The Bible says an angel killed 185,000 soldiers - and the historical record is remarkably supportive.
The Bible says an angel of God killed an entire Assyrian army about to wipe Israel off the map - what sounds like an old wives' tale is remarkably supported by archeological evidence. Records show a massive, undefeated Assyrian army suddenly and mysteriously lost in its entirety when Israel had no chance at victory, and the disgraced king was then killed by his own sons.

Daniel 9 names “the Messiah the Prince” and counts seventy weeks - in biblical language, seventy weeks of years, or 490 years (70 x 7) - from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. Counted from 445 BC, those 490 years run out in the very generation Jesus preached; no other religion can date its founder to the year from a document written centuries before he lived.

A thousand years before crucifixion existed, Psalm 22 described the Messiah's hands and feet pierced, His bones out of joint, and His executioners gambling for His clothes. David could not have invented a death that had not yet been invented.

Isaiah 53 is not only about how the Messiah would die, but why: “he was wounded for our transgressions... and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Seven centuries before Christ, Scripture named a Savior who would die to bear the sins of all mankind.

The Shepherd's price and the soldier's spear were both named centuries early.
Zechariah 11-13 foretells the whole story of Jesus as a parable of a rejected shepherd: sold for thirty pieces of silver, betrayed for that exact sum, the money thrown in the Temple and used to buy a potter's field - and the shepherd pierced, whom people mourn as one mourns for an only son. Written centuries before it happened.

Not one stone upon another - spoken in public, fulfilled in 70 AD.
Jesus stood in the Temple while it still stood and declared not one stone would be left on another, and foretold the siege and fall of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Roughly forty years later Rome did exactly that - no prophet before Him tied His own death and a city's fall to a judgment He named.

The tomb was empty - and no one ever produced the body.
Even the Pharisees agree that Jesus' body was gone. So either He resurrected, or His Apostles subdued the Roman guards, moved a giant stone, stole the body, then preached His resurrection to no earthly gain and unto death - all while knowing they secretly buried Him. There is no 3rd option.

This unique image shows a crucified man - without paint, pigment or brushstrokes. Scientists do not understand it and cannot reproduce it, but the closest they have come is by using intense flashes of radiation. The best hypothesis is that the Resurrection itself released a split-second burst of radiation, leaving His image on the cloth.
